There has been a significant Native Title ceremony held at Wujal
Wujal for the Kuku Yalanji community. After many years of quiet
negotiations, agreement has finally been reached with the State and
local governments in the form of a sharing of the responsibility for
land management including the Daintree area. This is a good first step
and acknowledgement for the Traditional Owners of the area, but there
is still lots more work to do ahead.
So stay tuned for further information, events and news and look forward to seeing you on another blissful adventure!

BCB goes ECO Friendly!
Monday, 12 May 2008
In line with our eco-friendly philosophies we are now pleased to report that our year long trial of bio-fuel for our 4x4 vehicle fleet, refined from leftover cooking oils from restaurants in the Port Douglas and Mossman area, has been a great success and we will be continuing with this initative.
The fuel has 80% less emissions overall, no harmful emissions and apart from the slight odour of fish ´n´ chips makes for smoother running and better fuel economy. The only downside is increased hunger for take aways!
BCB on Getaway!
Wednesday, 12 September 2007
River Drift snorkeling through the acient rainforest recently may have
seemed oddly familiar for our guests recently... as the area of rainforest
we drift down was used for the latest Tourism Queensland TV ads
and showcased on the Getaway Travel Show in Australia and NZ (Click Here); Keep an
eye out for the shots of the crystal clear river with beautiful
epiphites in the tree canopy above.
